WELCOME HOME
A CLOSER LOOK INTO THE VISION OF OUR NEW HOME
AN UPDATE
FROM BROTHER JOHN
Over the past few years, God has been incredibly faithful to our church. While we’ve had meaningful spaces for worship and community, we believe He is now leading us into a permanent home.
With the opportunity to purchase the S&H building, we can meet many of our current needs and move forward much sooner, at nearly half the cost of new construction.
Through our Welcome Home campaign, we’re stepping out in faith together. Our leadership has already committed in a powerful way, and now we’re inviting our entire church family to prayerfully consider their part.
Join us as we trust God for what’s next.
FAQ'S
How will updates be communicated to the congregation?
Our church leadership team is committed to honest and transparent communication. We plan to provide regular updates in the church newsletter, social media platforms, on our website under the "Welcome Home" tab, and on Sunday mornings from the pulpit.
What is the estimated total cost of the building project?
We purchased the building for 6.35 million. We put 1.9 million down at purchase and have financed the remaining 4.45 million at a 5.98% interest rate. The architect (Kyle Cook) and builder (Kevin Bailey) are working on a cost estimate for the renovation. We hsould have a more accurate estimated cost for the renovation by the end of April.
How much do we need to raise to finance the remaining costs?
We have raised approximately 3.9 million in early commitments and cash. Once we receive the estimated renovation cost from the architect and builder, then we will determine our total target goal.
Am I committing to give in addition to my regular tithe?
This is an invitation to prayerfully consider sacrificial giving in addition to regular tithes and offerings. Regular giving sustains ongoing ministry, but this is a special season of generosity to invest in a space that will serve our church for generations to come.
When will construction begin, and when will we move in?
Construction will begin in July of 2026 and we hope to move into the building in August of 2027.
Does the building have adequate parking?
There are 430 parking spots in the front and 150 parking spots in the back of the building. We believe, with proper planning and the help of volunteers, this is an adequate amount of parking.
Is there an adequate kitchen to support fellowship meals?
We will have a serving kitchen that is adequate for our fellowship meals.
Will we have enough classroom space for our ministries?
The Board of Trustees, ministry leaders, a n d t h e architect are working together to ensure the building meets all our essential needs. Our updated floor plan includes classroom space for all current youth small groups, a designated wing for children's ministry, and additional space for adult Sunday school and small groups.
